I am still debating as to whether or not I like this book:

The Knitter’s Handy Book of Sweater Patterns: Basic Designs in Multiple Sizes & Gauges
I certainly don’t need a pattern to knit sweaters, yet it does make the task of figuring out yardages required a bit easier. I’ll put a tentative recommendation behind it as an inspiration book.
I have to photograph the finished toddler blankets, with the snaggy knitting behind me I am quite proud of the way that they turned out and washing them in the machine did wonders to the yarn as it has much more drape to the fabric than it did when I was knitting it.
During my spring cleaning stint I came across more of the gray merino that I bought for my husbands sweater, so I’m in the process of spindling it up whenever a moment allows.
Speaking of Matt, he’s being eccentric and crafty in his own way: Exhibit A)
An alien embryo whorl. Of course I like the Alien movies, and of course I like spinning– I am just not certain that most people would seek to combine the two. Anyway, it looks as if he’s about 2/3rds through until he’s finished so I’ll reserve judgment until then. Now this has me wondering if he’s going to try to make a powerloader sort of carding apparatus for me?
I should probably be worried.
Very worried.
